With surprisingly few exceptions, the hedges in the Parish are privately owned and it is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that hedges are clear of footpaths and highways, particularly where a safe view to the road is key. We politely ask that all our residents take due care of their hedges. If you have difficulty maintaining yours we will gladly put you in touch with a local contractor, if you have a query about a roadside hedge that is poorly kept – please contact the Clerk.

As the County Council strives to further devolve services out to the communities, the Parish Council is aware that many services are now reduced. The cutting of roadside verges in an area where cost savings may be made, although vision splays will still be maintained. Many of our residents mow the roadside verges adjacent to or outside their properties. The Parish Council do notice this and are truly grateful to see grass being maintained in this way and thank you. Please keep it up!
